Antii-Social Networking part 1 looking at Facebook, voyeurism and how we interact with the screen in our daily lives. This was part of an installation for my Final Major Project at the University of Newport 2012. The video effect I have used here is called DATAMOSHING. Information about this project can be found HERE

Clive Loves Sandwiches' 2012 I was bored and while testing for another project I made this because I was bored.
A test as part of my FMP for uni, filmed in 2011. Looking at how men speak to women online and how it looks in the real world.
A quick 2d hand drawn animation I made whilst feeling inspired at Animated Exeter 2012.
Addiction, 2011
A short piece of crude stop motion paper animation with live action. The film is a study into pornography addiction, focusing on sound. My interest here was Internet Pornography Addiction and how the user searches more and more for weirder and kinkier things.
As a sound project, I think this works really well, the sound is creepy as. Animation wise it is crude and cheap, the idea being that porn is cheap and disposable. However I'm not sure that came across as well as I had hoped, and instead it looks rushed.

Codes & Conventions project 2011 by Ben Wingrove, Jordan Brooks and David Middleton.
It's lots of in-jokes, animation jokes, simple sketches and things we found funny. It's also tedious.

Board Games (test) 2010
Board Games is a quick experiment in stop-motion using board games such as Orthello, Guess Who and Chess. Created by Ben Wyn & Rebecca Beauchamp 2010. It was part of the SoundScape project. I was influenced by Normal McLaren's PEN POINT PERCESSION which shows McLaren creating sounds using dots of ink on film reel. In our piece we used natural sounds and re-recorded them spontaneously, yet naturally from Adobe Premiere by fast forwarding and rewinding the sounds with the mouse, so like McLaren we had complete control, yet no control over what the sounds would be.
Sea Tales 2010
The brief was to create a visual/audio piece based on an element. Mine was water. I also looked at how we're a completely wasteful society, and even things like movies which may have taken years to make are now just YouTube relics to be re-used. The idea behind the visuals themselves is that, in our society we can watch pretty much anything, we have so much choice and it's wasted. We can experience any sort of emotion. We can turn the TV onto watch live war as it happens, and if we decide that might be too depressing, we can watch a soap about murder. Just as horrible but it's a comfort to us. People in these war torn countries can't just turn off the real world.

Dada vs Surrealism - A Manifesto
Created by Ben Wyn & Lauren Orme 2009.
We took the Dadaist Manifesto by Tristan Tzara and the Surrealist Manifesto, chopped them up and created our own random manifesto from the two. To try and create "random art". We then created a series of non-related video clips, some with meaning, some without and put them to the narrated manifesto we had created.
Looking back, I think we should have had more passion in the narration, perhaps a female narrator. The whole piece feels cold and lifeless to me.

Journey 2009
This is my favourite piece from college. I love the simplicity of it, and the scene where the van goes past the waterfall. It's nothing special, I'm just fond of it.
